Club Kawama is an all-inclusive 3* resort located right on the beach and offering a beautiful view of Varadero's canal. It is also very close to Varadero's downtown, its picturesque craft market, and many of the restaurants and bars.
This proximity to everything there is to see together with the excellent strip of beach are the biggest pluses of the resort.
The hotel's architecture has charm, with the looks of a traditional Spanish hacienda, its 336 rooms are distributed in 25 brightly colored 2-storey houses, isolated from each other and surrounded by beautiful gardens.
The property was built in 1930 and restored in 2000 so the need for revamping is completely understandable. Some rooms were renovated 2 years ago and others were not, so some smell musty and their furniture needs renovation or change, as well as many other things; showers, tiles, sun beds and umbrellas.
However, small improvements are taking place.
The food is limited but one will certainly not starve, especially considering the many cheap restaurants within walking distance, which we recommend visiting if you choose this hotel.
In short, Villa Kawama is an appropriate hotel for those who have a tighter budget and don't need any luxuries whatsoever, just a place to sleep at nights and a gorgeous beach on a great location with an all inclusive plan. Modest, yet all inclusive after all.
