Los Delfines is a small resort in Varadero standing in a great location right in the middle of the town, close to all restaurants, markets, shops, banks...and directly on the beach!
The hotel is not big, with only some 100 rooms distributed among four buildings, a small swimming pool and a couple of restaurants. It’s not new either, but rather tired and in need of repairs. Two things compensate for these flaws: the magnificent beach right at its door step and the wonderful staff, who go out of their way to make all guests feel like at home.
The proximity to everything also makes it interesting to those who enjoy wandering and shopping, and the fact it is a quiet, small resort is very appealing for vacationers in search of a relaxing ambience and a good nights sleep (it is definitely not a party place).
Food is nothing to write home about, and is repetitive, but one will always find something tasty to eat. Besides, there is a wide range of inexpensive restaurants in the proximities.
Rooms are kept very clean and many offer fantastic ocean views from the balconies. Do not expect anything fancy though; they are simple and dated, like the rest of the hotel.
No wifi available for the moment.
All in all a modest hotel offering budget accommodation and food but high class beach and staff mixed with a homey, intimate feel in a fantastic location.
