Hotel Club Amigo Atlántico is large, so large it’s divided in 4 sections. The design is beautiful and the gardens feature many palm trees so walking through the well-maintained grounds is a pleasure.
Each section has its own big swimming pool; the main one being very animated while the villa’s pool is more relaxed. Every guest has access to all of them.
The beach is gorgeous, of warm crystalline waters, fine white sand and fantastic snorkeling right off the shores of the hotel. Catamaran and paddle boat are also available and included.
There is a market right at the resort and many excursions available at the tour desk, some including horseback riding, catamaran rides, snorkeling…highly recommended!
At night there isn’t much to do hence not the ideal destination for people looking to party every night. There are shows though, but they finish early every night.
Some of the rooms are old and needing repair and some are really small, so perhaps upgrading to a villa or a bungalow would be a good idea. The villas are close to everything while the bungalows are a bit remote (also from the beach), therefore quieter.
Food is not fancy but there are lots to eat since the hotel features several restaurants and there’s a snack bar on each section.
All in all, a very large resort with a beautiful beach, adequate food, and many activities / sports to do. Very good value for money!
