A small islet of little under 50 km², located right across from the Bay of Nipe to the north of the province Holguín.
Although the quality of its beaches is not to be dismissed, its main appeal has to be the possibilities the site offers as a hunting ground.
Deer, zebras, water buffalos, wild boars and different species of antelopes roam freely through its forests and marshy flatlands.
In place is a small but comfortable hotel for those who would like to make reservations for a hunting expedition in the cay. Moreover, the hotels in Guardalavaca provide the option of boat or helicopter excursions to the site so as to benefit from its beaches.
