Wyndham Grand Cancun All-Inclusive Resort & Villas, built in 1988 and renovated in 1999, is an all-inclusive resort suitable for family stays that is located in the hotel zone, between the Mexican Caribbean and the Nichupté lagoon on the island of Cancún, about 20 minutes from downtown Cancun and about 15 by bus from the international airport.
Although the hotel is in the hotel zone known for its vibrant life, its surroundings are very quiet and it does not have the party atmosphere that characterizes the area, which makes it ideal for trips by families with children who will appreciate the more relaxed atmosphere it offers.
Just a few steps from the beach, the resort has 12 floors and more than 340 rooms, including Deluxe Rooms, Premier Rooms, Executive Suites and its large 3-bedroom Villas with kitchens. All rooms have marble floors and bathtubs, purified water, feather pillows, among other facilities.
The Kid's Club, designed for children between 5 and 12 years of age, is packed with activities to keep children entertained while adults can enjoy tennis, golf, water sports, the spa or just lounging on the beach. The hotel also has swimming pools for the little ones, with fountains, party activities and prizes, a game room, arcade with Wii consoles and a giant screen, karaoke and much more.
For adults, poolside massages, dance classes, aqua fitness, snorkeling, diving, volleyball, tennis, trivia, Spanish classes, live music, pool bar, among other amenities. Also, outside the hotel there are many cafes, bars and restaurants.
Wyndham Grand Cancun All-Inclusive Resort & Villas has eight restaurants. In “La Paloma” there are theme nights with entertainment and a changing menu day by day. “Da Vinci” is the hotel's adults-only label restaurant. Be sure to visit “La Vista”, “Piña Colada” and the Mexican “Viva México”.
Some negative points that we have found include poor Wi-Fi coverage in some parts of the hotel, unavailability of beach chairs when the hotel is at high occupancy, the additional charge of $5 for room service and the difficulty in finding space in the restaurants with reservations.
Overall, a good hotel for family stays with plenty of options for everyone.
