This beautiful Botanical Garden is one of the largest in the country and was founded with the aim of rescuing and preserving the endemic vegetation and the different ecosystems of the Yucatan Peninsula.
In this natural space of about 60 hectares you can find a wide variety of plants and trees, such as palms, succulents, ferns, fruit trees, orchids, bromeliads and an important collection of medicinal plants of about 60 species. It also includes more than 200 species of birds and about 250 species of animals such as wild boars, badgers, spider monkeys and iguanas in their natural habitat.
In these facilities you will also know the Mayan house, El Mirador, the floating bridge and one of the typical Mayan facilities used for the production of chewing gum and you will also have the opportunity to participate in the different activities that are carried out such as environmental education courses, workshops, book sales and shows at its open-air theater.
