Puerto Morelos is a small fishing town that is located between Cancun and Playa del Carmen, forming part of the Great Mayan Reef or Great Belt of Reefs of the Western Atlantic, the second largest barrier reef in the world.
In this protected natural area since 1998 there are about 669 species of marine fauna: turtles, sponges, snails, octopuses, squid, crabs, sea turtles, lobsters and a great variety of fish make it the ideal place to practice diving, snorkeling or giving a nice catamaran or boat ride.
You can also swim in its beautiful beaches with warm and crystalline waters, shallow and calm, ideal for children and for practicing windsurfing, sailing or kayaking. Also here you will find a sea turtle breeding area that will give you the opportunity to participate in the protection and care of their nests and eggs.
