The Hotel Roc Presidente 4 * is located in Havana, in the popular neighborhood of Vedado and on the well-known Avenida de los Presidentes.
It is a 10-story building, built between 1925 and 1928, being the tallest building in Havana at the time. It is located just 200 meters from Havana's Malecón, the popular seaside promenade of the Cuban capital.
Over the years, it has preserved its peculiar vermilion and beige colors that distinguish it from afar among the other buildings in the area.
The hotel still boasts some of the grandeur of the time, with its more than 400 cataloged art pieces exhibited inside, besides marble and bronze sculptures, French-style furniture and chandeliers, 19th century Japanese porcelain vases and large glass chandeliers in living rooms and corridors.
In 2011 it was completely restored, taking care of every detail to preserve its original deluxe style.
It features 158 rooms with classic decor, which are spacious and offer fabulous views of the ocean and / or the city.
The hotel offers two restaurants and a veranda that surrounds the property which is ideal for relaxing, have a drink or simply enjoying the sea breeze and live music at night.
The Roc Presidente also has a nice swimming pool that, although is shallow in the middle for swimming, is perfect for getting taned or relaxing. Food and drinks are offered in this area as well.
The staff is friendly and helpful, there are always taxis available outside, which is handy considering that the hotel is located 3 km from Old Havana and the city’s main attractions.
In short, a historic hotel in Havana, with good value for money, suitable for those who prefer a quiet neighborhood and for those who enjoy the proximity of the sea.
