Description

The Rex hotel is located right on the heart of Santiago de Cuba, very near Plaza de Marte and Enramadas street, the most interesting city artery.

It has been recently renovated and it now features 24 modern and well furnished, though not very large, rooms.The ones facing the street can be a bit noisy since the hotel is located in one of the busiest areas of Santiago.

There is one à la carte restaurant which also serves breakfast, a snack bar and a rooftop terrace-bar which is probably the hotel's most appealing feature due to its cosiness and the panoramic views of the city it offers. Drinks are a little more expensive than in other Santiago bars, though.

All in all it is a good place to stay and we recommend it specially for its location.

The Rex's 24 rooms have been, like the rest of the hotel, newly re-furbished and though not very large they are decorated with good taste and in a modern style. They feature: heat extractor in the bathroom, closet in the room, and is possible to make international calls from the phone. Some of the rooms have exterior windows. Queen size or Twin beds.
