Hotel Lido's main virtue is no doubt its location, on a rather abandoned street of Centro Habana but very near El Malecón & El Prado- two of the city's more beautiful promenades- and within walking distance from all attractions of the historical center.
The hotel is somewhat shabby and some issues can be found in its 65 rooms: doors that fail to lock, non working toilets, lack of hot water, toilet tissue or soap...Some rooms are pretty small and have no windows while others are fairly nice, featuring a balcony and city views.
All in all, a very basic hotel but adequate for sleeping a night or two if expectations are not too high and if one doesn't wants to spend a lot while staying in the core of the city.
It features a bar on the 5th floor with a wonderful view of the city (there is an elevator) and internet in the hotel's computers.
