In it sits the Museum Granjita Siboney. Institution that used to be the headquarters of the youths who attempted to seize the Moncada Garrison on the 26th of July of1953, kicking off their struggles to bring down the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista.
It allows visitors to learn the history of the house, about the preparations prior to the assault, the developments of the events and its consequences by means of expositions of photographs, documents and other items belonging to the assailants.
Due to its historical importance it was proclaimed National Monument on the 26th of July in 1979.
