A beach located in the Bay of Pigs with a long and narrow form and consequently without the benefit of a nearby coral reef, limiting the option of practicing water sports like scuba diving. It does provide fine, white sand, though it is not quite equal to that of the beaches in northern Cuba. This beach also differs from the rest owing to its sharper marine downslope making it easier to get to an optimal depth for a dip.
Very close to the beach lies a population settlement that could make a good starting point from where to visit the natural reserves of the Grand Natural Park Montemar.
