The House Museum, declared a National Monument, shows details of the life and work of the Cuban writer, poet and politician and one of the most transcendental Latin American and Caribbean intellectuals of his time, born on July 10, 1902.
At present, the place acts as the Nicolás Guillén Study Center which, for the preservation and dissemination of Guillén's work, has been awarded several recognitions by the Julio Antonio Mella Provincial Library, the Provincial Center for Overcoming and the local branch of the University of the Arts, among many.
