The establishment is set in what was once the Fort La Punta in the colonial era, located to the northeast of the city of Baracoa at the mouth of the bay. There one can drink in the beautiful marine scenery offered by the great coastal cove that presides over the town’s geography and also marvel at the impressive Yunque elevation, the singular orographic phenomenon that constitutes one of the symbols of Cuba’s First City.
The Fuerte La Punta was part of the system of fortresses protecting the earliest town against corsair and pirate attacks in the XVIII and XIX centuries thereby adding a historical and museum-like note to the gastronomic enjoyment in the setting of this restaurant, one of the most popular and frequented by locals, and national and foreign tourists visiting city. It provides à la carte service of Cuban and international cuisine, in a fresh and agreeable environment endowed with gorgeous views, apart from the delicious food comprising a varied array of dishes typical to the region based on fish, shellfish and red meats.
