Known as Iglesia del Buen Viaje, the Christian temple is the third oldest building of its kind in the Cuban city of Santa Clara and is located in front of the Parroquial Mayor de San Juan Bautista, where the same priests alternately worship. . Its construction began in 1713 and concluded on January 17, 1719 and constitutes a mixture of Gothic, Romanesque and Neoclassical architecture.
In this church an image of the Virgin of Charity belonging to the family of Dña. Marta Abreu de Estévez is venerated.
