In front of Parque Céspedes and with a singular neoclassical beauty, this Church was erected in 1805, with a beautiful gilded altar inside and a harmonious fusion of neoclassical, baroque and gothic styles. On its façade, the distinctive four-level twin bell towers that provide greater slenderness to the construction. It is the main Catholic church and belongs to the diocese of Santísimo Salvador de Bayamo and Manzanillo.
Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, the Father of the Nation, worked as a lawyer in this Parish and the remains of Monsignor Francisco Pérez Acevedo, priest who built the facade of the building and its interiors, rest.
