It is located next to the Plaza de la Independencia in the city of Pinar del Río where more than 80% of the island's tobacco production is harvested. The building it occupies is from 1859 being one of the emblematic constructions of the 19th century architecture of the province.
With the characteristic smell of the tobacco leaf, inside the factory we find, in one of its rooms, hundreds of “torcedores” making between 60 and 110 traditional cigars daily each, with several centuries of tradition, only with instruments such as the knife, a press, a mold, a guillotine and vegetable glue. Other rooms are dedicated to selection and classification, labeling and packaging.
Thousands of foreign visitors come every year to the place to learn about the centenary art of Habano manufacturing and find in the house a great variety of the most recognized brands such as Cohíba, Romeo y Julieta, Partagás and Trinidad.
