One of the elegant buildings embellishing the environs of Park Martí. It was built halfway into the 20s decade of the XX century and possesses an eclectic style, while also being influenced by the classical line prevalent in XIX century Cuban architecture.
Its construction was designed in order to house the Colegio San Lorenzo, an institution that enabled the instruction in arts and crafts of children and youths belonging to underprivileged social classes.
