Located about 15 km from Cienfuegos, it was inaugurated in 1901 and opened to the public in 1940. It contemplates 97 hectares, being the oldest in the country and declared a National Monument on October 20, 1989.
It has a variety that exceeds two thousand species, treasuring collections of plants from five continents, thus generating research and studies to revitalize endangered specimens.
With more than 90 species of orchids and a spectacular collection of cacti, along with colorful flowers such as the butterfly, the national flower; the collection of palms considered one of the most complete in the world; the bamboos, among other plants, will make your visit to the botanical garden a pleasant encounter with nature.
Among other activities, it has a guided tour service, gardening courses, plant sales and a public library.
